Tilapia Wraps

Tilapia Wraps are a light and refreshing meal, perfect for when you’re craving something healthy yet satisfying. The tilapia is seasoned with zesty spices, then pan-seared until flaky and tender. Wrapped in soft tortillas and accompanied by a vibrant mix of crisp vegetables, a tangy slaw, or a creamy sauce, these wraps make a quick and flavorful dinner or lunch. They’re versatile enough to pair with your favorite toppings, and the mild tilapia takes on the delicious seasonings beautifully.

Ingredients:

  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or cabbage
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced avocado
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • Fresh lime wedges for serving
  • Optional toppings: chopped cilantro, sliced jalapeños, hot sauce

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the tilapia fillets.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the tilapia fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or in the microwave.
  5. To assemble the wraps, place a tilapia fillet in the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce or cabbage, diced tomatoes, sliced avocado, and a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt.
  6. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top and add any additional toppings you prefer.
  7. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling and serve immediately.
