Use it to make chocolate chip, oatmeal, or even sugar cookies depending on what mix-ins you choose. Just add wet ingredients like butter and eggs when you’re ready to bake, and enjoy freshly baked cookies in minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (cold and cut into cubes)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. Add sugars: Stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Make sure they are evenly distributed.
  3. Incorporate butter: Using a pastry cutter or your hands, cut the cold butter into the dry mixture until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. The butter should be well incorporated, but small chunks are fine. These chunks will help create a tender and chewy texture in your cookies.
  4. Store the mix: Transfer the cookie mix to an airtight container or a large jar. Label it with instructions for future use and store it in a cool, dry place for up to 2 months.

To Bake the Cookies:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Measure out 2 ½ cups of the cookie mix into a bowl.
  3. Add 1 egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Stir in 1 to 1 ½ cups of your favorite mix-ins (chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit, etc.).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy your freshly baked cookies anytime with this easy homemade cookie mix!
