Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, finely chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12-14 egg roll wrappers
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Sweet and sour sauce, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Filling:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped chicken, softened cream cheese, green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, and black pepper.
    • Mix until all ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth.
  2. Assemble the Egg Rolls:
    • Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you, like a diamond.
    • Place about 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture in the center of the wrapper.
    • Fold the bottom corner up over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll up tightly. Moisten the top corner with a little water to seal the egg roll.
    • Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  3. Heat the Oil:
    • In a large, deep skillet or Dutch oven, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to maintain the correct temperature.
  4. Fry the Egg Rolls:
    • Carefully add a few egg rolls to the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
    • Fry for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy.
    • Remove the egg rolls with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the Chicken Rangoon Egg Rolls hot, with sweet and sour sauce on the side for dipping.

Enjoy your Chicken Rangoon Egg Rolls, a delightful and crispy appetizer that’s perfect for any occasion!
