Cheddar Fondue

Ingredients:

  • 1 clove garlic, halved
  • 1 cup dry white wine

  • 2 cups (8 oz) shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fondue Pot: Rub the inside of a fondue pot or heavy-bottomed saucepan with the halved garlic clove. Discard the garlic once the pot is thoroughly coated.

  4. Season: Once all the cheese is melted and the fondue is smooth, stir in the Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste.
