Beef ‘N’ Biscuit Bake

Beef ‘N’ Biscuit Bake is a comforting casserole that combines savory ground beef with a rich tomato sauce, vegetables, and a fluffy biscuit topping. Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (corn, peas, carrots)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, mixed vegetables, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
  4. Pour the beef mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  5. Separate the biscuit dough and place the biscuits on top of the beef mixture. Brush the biscuits with melted butter and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over them.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
