  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, honey or brown sugar, cumin, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Place the flank steak in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is fully coated.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best flavor.
  4. When ready to cook, preheat your grill or broiler to high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off.
