Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried dill or parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the tuna filling: In a large bowl, mix together the flaked tuna, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, cheddar cheese, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, dill, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Assemble the crescent ring: On the prepared baking sheet, arrange the crescent roll triangles in a circular pattern with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the pointed ends facing outward, forming a ring shape. Press the dough together at the center to seal.
  4. Add the filling: Spoon the tuna mixture evenly around the base of the crescent roll ring. Gently fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling and tuck them under the center of the ring.
  5. Brush with egg wash: Lightly brush the top of the crescent ring with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve: Let the Tuna Crescent Ring cool slightly before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
