Skillet Pizza Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Toppings of your choice (e.g., pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, olives, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to fit your skillet. Aim for a slightly larger size to account for shrinkage.
  2. Preheat the Skillet:
    • Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and swirl to coat the bottom evenly.
  3. Cook the Dough:
    • Carefully lay the rolled-out dough into the hot skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and crispy. You may need to use a spatula to check the underside.
  4. Add Sauce and Cheese:
    • Flip the dough over using a spatula. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the cooked side of the dough. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top.
