Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
2 cups marinara sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Cooked pasta or garlic bread for serving
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:

Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Bread the Chicken:

Place the flour in a shallow dish. Place the beaten eggs in a second shallow dish. In a third shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, then coat it thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
Cook the Chicken:

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add two of the breaded chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Repeat with the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil and the other two chicken breasts.
Add the Sauce and Cheese:

Reduce the heat to medium. Return all the chicken breasts to the skillet. Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the chicken. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
Melt the Cheese:

Cover the skillet and let it cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:

Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired. Serve the skillet chicken Parmesan hot, over cooked pasta or with a side of garlic bread.
Enjoy this comforting and flavorful Skillet Chicken Parmesan as a delightful meal that brings a taste of Italy to your kitchen with ease and simplicity.
