Perfect for special occasions or simply indulging in a lavish treat, Praline Cheesecake offers layers of flavor and texture that make each bite unforgettable.

Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

For the Praline Topping:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Make the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared springform pan to form an even crust. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden. Set aside to cool.
  3. Prepare the Cheesecake Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream until fully incorporated.
  4. Bake the Cheesecake: Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled crust and smooth the top. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and only slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and crack the door, letting the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour to prevent cracking.
  5. Make the Praline Topping: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar and heavy cream, and bring to a gentle boil. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and chopped pecans.
  6. Top the Cheesecake: Once the cheesecake has cooled completely, pour the praline topping over the cheesecake, spreading it evenly.
  7. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the praline cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to set. Remove from the springform pan before serving.

Enjoy your Praline Cheesecake, a deliciously indulgent dessert that combines the creaminess of cheesecake with the sweet, nutty goodness of praline!
