Pizza Fries are a fun, indulgent twist on two classic favorites: pizza and fries. This easy-to-make dish is perfect for sharing at a game day party, movie night, or simply as a satisfying snack. Crispy fries are topped with a blend of mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and pizza sauce, then baked until bubbly and golden. You can get creative with the toppings too, adding olives, mushrooms, or even a sprinkle of parmesan for extra flavor. Whether enjoyed as an appetizer or a side dish, Pizza Fries bring together the best of both worlds in a cheesy, savory treat.
Ingredients:
- 1 bag (16 oz) frozen French fries
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup mini pepperoni slices
- ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- Optional toppings: sliced black olives, diced bell peppers, mushrooms, red pepper flakes
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Bake the fries: Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the French fry package. Arrange the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake until crispy, typically around 20-25 minutes.
- Prepare the toppings: While the fries are baking, heat the pizza sauce in a small saucepan over low heat. Shred the mozzarella cheese and prepare any additional toppings you’d like to add.
- Assemble the pizza fries: Once the fries are crispy, remove them from the oven. Reduce the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C). Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the fries, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella on top. Add the mini pepperoni slices and any other toppings you desire.
- Bake: Place the assembled fries back in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and serve: Remove the pizza fries from the oven and sprinkle with dried oregano and garlic powder. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
