Pecan Crescent Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (plus more for dusting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla extract.
    • Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until just combined. Stir in the finely chopped pecans.
  2. Shape the Cookies:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Scoop small portions of the dough and shape them into crescents by rolling the dough into a log shape and then curving the ends slightly. Place the crescents on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
  3. Bake:
    • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The cookies should remain fairly pale in color.
  4. Dust with Powdered Sugar:
    • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. While still warm, dust the cookies generously with powdered sugar. You can also dust them again once fully cooled for extra sweetness.

These Pecan Crescent Cookies are perfect for sharing and will quickly become a go-to recipe for special occasions or whenever you’re craving something sweet and nutty!
