Mint Tea

Mint tea is a refreshing and soothing drink made from fresh or dried mint leaves, offering a natural and caffeine-free way to relax. With its cooling, aromatic qualities, mint tea can be enjoyed hot or cold, making it versatile for any season. Ingredients

  • 1 handful of fresh mint leaves (or 1 tbsp dried mint)
  • 2 cups water
  • Honey or sugar to taste (optional)
  • Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water: In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Prepare the mint: If using fresh mint, gently bruise the leaves with your fingers to release the oils. If using dried mint, simply measure out 1 tablespoon.
  3. Steep the mint: Place the mint leaves (fresh or dried) in a teapot or mug. Pour the boiling water over the mint and cover. Let it steep for 5-10 minutes, depending on how strong you want the flavor.
  4. Sweeten and serve: Strain the tea into a cup, discarding the leaves. Add honey or sugar to taste, if desired. Garnish with a slice of lemon for extra brightness, if using.

Mint tea is best enjoyed fresh, but it can also be cooled and served over ice for a refreshing iced mint tea!
