Hamburger Stir-Fry

Hamburger Stir-Fry is a quick, hearty meal that combines the rich, savory flavor of ground beef with the vibrant, fresh crunch of stir-fried vegetables. This dish is perfect for weeknight dinners when you need something satisfying but fast. The ground beef adds a robust base, while the veggies provide a mix of color, texture, and nutrients. It’s a versatile stir-fry that you can adjust based on what vegetables you have on hand, and it’s delicious served over rice, noodles, or on its own.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 medium carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat and set the beef aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the onions and garlic, cooking for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry the vegetables for 5-6 minutes until they are crisp-tender.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  5. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the sauce over the mixture and stir to coat everything evenly.
  6. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions.
  8. Serve the Hamburger Stir-Fry over cooked rice or noodles.
