Ingredients:

  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 8 oz deli-sliced ham
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz provolone cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Marinara sauce (for dipping, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
  3. Spread the Dijon mustard evenly across the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Layer the sliced ham evenly over the dough, followed by the provolone slices and shredded mozzarella.
  5. Carefully roll the dough from one long side to the other, tucking in the ends as you go, to form a log.
  6. Place the stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  7. Beat the egg and lightly brush it over the stromboli to give it a golden, shiny finish.
  8. Use a sharp knife to make a few slits on top of the stromboli to allow steam to escape during baking.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
  10. Let the stromboli cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.
