GRILLED LOBSTER TAILS

Grilling lobster tails is a fantastic way to enjoy the delicate, sweet flavor of this luxurious seafood. The grill adds a subtle smokiness that enhances the natural richness of the lobster. This recipe is perfect for a special occasion or a summer cookout, yet simple enough to prepare without any fuss. With a quick marinade of garlic butter and lemon, these grilled lobster tails are juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. Serve with a side of melted butter for dipping, and you’ve got a restaurant-quality dish right in your backyard.

Ingredients:

  • 4 lobster tails
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the lobster tails: Using kitchen shears, carefully cut through the top shell of each lobster tail, stopping just before the tail fin. Gently pull apart the shell and lift the meat slightly, making it easier to season and cook.
  2. Make the garlic butter marinade: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Marinate the lobster tails: Brush the lobster meat generously with the garlic butter mixture, making sure to coat the meat thoroughly. Let the lobster tails sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  4. Preheat the grill: Heat your grill to medium-high, around 400°F (200°C). Oil the grill grates lightly to prevent sticking.
  5. Grill the lobster tails: Place the lobster tails flesh-side down on the grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes, then flip them over. Brush with more garlic butter and cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and slightly firm to the touch. Be careful not to overcook.
  6. Serve: Remove the lobster tails from the grill and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve with lemon wedges and additional melted butter for dipping.

Enjoy your delicious, smoky grilled lobster tails!
