Ingredients:
- 2 pounds fresh clams, scrubbed and cleaned
- 6 oz chouriço sausage, sliced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 cup crushed tomatoes
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium heat. Add the chouriço slices and cook until lightly browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, white wine, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer.
- Add the cleaned clams and browned chouriço to the skillet, cover, and cook for 7-10 minutes, shaking the pot occasionally, until the clams open. Discard any that do not open.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and stir in the chopped parsley.
