Plus, they’re easy to make and can be customized with your favorite seasonings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying (or cooking spray for baking)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Breading Station: Set up three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, place the flour. In the second bowl, whisk the eggs. In the third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese (if using), garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Bread the Chicken: Dip each chicken strip into the flour, shaking off the excess. Then, dip it into the beaten eggs, making sure it’s fully coated. Finally, press the chicken strip into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even coating.
  3. Cook the Chicken Fingers:
    • To Fry: Heat about 1/4 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken strips in batches and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
    • To Bake: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the breaded chicken strips on a greased baking sheet, spray lightly with cooking spray, and bake for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  4. Serve: Serve the chicken fingers hot with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ranch, honey mustard, or ketchup.

These homemade Chicken Fingers are a crispy, flavorful treat that’s perfect for dipping and sharing!
