Beefy Taco Dip

This Beefy Taco Dip is a crowd-pleaser that’s perfect for game day, parties, or any gathering where you want to impress with minimal effort. It combines all the savory flavors of a classic taco with the creamy goodness of a dip, making it an irresistible snack. The seasoned ground beef is layered with rich refried beans, tangy sour cream, and zesty salsa, then topped with melted cheese, crunchy lettuce, and fresh tomatoes. Serve it with tortilla chips for dipping, and watch it disappear in no time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 (16 oz) can refried beans
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Season the Beef: Add the taco seasoning to the cooked beef, following the instructions on the seasoning packet (usually involving adding some water and simmering).
  3. Layer the Dip: In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread the refried beans evenly over the bottom. Next, layer the seasoned beef over the beans. Spread the sour cream on top of the beef, followed by the salsa.
  4. Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the salsa layer.
  5. Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Add Toppings: Once the dip is out of the oven, let it cool slightly. Then, top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and black olives if using.
  7. Serve: Serve warm with tortilla chips for dipping.

Enjoy your delicious Beefy Taco Dip!
