Ingredients:
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 1/2 cup almonds, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a shallow dish, combine the chopped almonds, grated Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In another shallow dish, place the flour. In a third dish, whisk together the egg and milk.
- Dredge each tilapia fillet in the flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the egg mixture, then coat it with the almond and Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to ensure the coating sticks.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the coated tilapia fillets and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the crust is golden brown.
- Transfer the tilapia fillets to the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve the Almond and Parmesan Crusted Tilapia with lemon wedges on the side. Enjoy!
