Almond Cheesecake Bars

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, softened butter, and almond extract. Mix until a crumbly dough forms.
  3. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
  4. Bake the crust for 15 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly.
  5. While the crust is cooling, prepare the cheesecake filling. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy.

  8. Sprinkle the slivered almonds over the top of the cheesecake layer.

  10. Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing.
