Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 8 ounces lump crab meat, drained and picked over for shells
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the Base Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Add Flavorings: Stir in the lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, cayenne pepper (if using), Parmesan cheese, and 1/2 cup of the cheddar cheese. Mix until everything is evenly incorporated.
  4. Fold in the Crab: Gently fold in the crab meat, being careful not to break up the lumps too much.
  5. Transfer to Baking Dish: Transfer the crab mixture to a lightly greased baking dish or pie plate, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Bake the Dip: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped chives or parsley before serving. Serve warm with crusty bread, crackers, or vegetable sticks.

Enjoy this deliciously creamy and flavorful Baked Crab Dip as a standout appetizer that will impress your guests with its rich taste and elegant presentation.
