Ingredients:

  • 2 cups raw pecan halves
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the maple syrup, butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Heat over medium-low, stirring constantly until the butter melts and the mixture becomes smooth.
  3. Add the pecans to the saucepan, stirring to ensure they are evenly coated in the maple syrup mixture.
  4. Spread the pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the pecans are toasted and the maple syrup has thickened slightly.
  6. Remove the pecans from the oven and allow them to cool completely on the baking sheet. The pecans will become crisp as they cool.
  7. Once cooled, break apart any clusters and store the candied pecans in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.

Enjoy these maple-glazed delights on their own or as a topping for your favorite dishes!
