Ham And Cheese Croissant

Ham and Cheese Croissants are a delightful blend of buttery, flaky pastry and savory fillings, perfect for a quick breakfast or a light lunch. These croissants are filled with layers of thinly sliced ham and melted cheese, creating a rich, satisfying bite with each mouthful. They’re easy to make, especially if using store-bought croissant dough, and are sure to become a go-to meal when you’re craving something indulgent yet simple. Serve them fresh out of the oven for a warm, cheesy delight that pairs well with a side salad or even a cup of coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or store-bought croissant dough)
  • 8 slices of deli ham
  • 8 slices of Swiss or cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
  3. If using, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on each triangle of dough.
  4. Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll the dough up from the wide end to the tip, encasing the ham and cheese in a croissant shape. Tuck in the ends slightly to prevent the cheese from leaking out during baking.
  6. Place the croissants on the prepared baking sheet and brush each one with the beaten egg. Sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on top if desired.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your warm and cheesy ham and cheese croissants!
