PARMESAN FISH STICKS

Parmesan Fish Sticks are a delicious and healthy twist on a classic favorite, offering a crispy, golden coating with a savory Parmesan flavor. These homemade fish sticks are made with tender white fish fillets, like cod or tilapia, that are coated in a crunchy mix of panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Baked to perfection, they are lighter than their fried counterparts but just as flavorful and satisfying. Serve them with a side of lemon wedges, tartar sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce for a quick and wholesome meal that both kids and adults will love.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or haddock), cut into strips
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Tartar sauce or dipping sauce of choice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly spray the parchment with olive oil.
  2. Prepare the coating stations: Place the flour in one shallow dish, the beaten eggs in another, and in a third dish, combine the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat the fish: Dredge each fish strip first in the flour, shaking off any excess, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally press it into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated on all sides.
  4. Bake the fish sticks: Arrange the coated fish sticks in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with olive oil for extra crispiness. Bake for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway through, until the fish sticks are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve: Remove the fish sticks from the oven and serve immediately with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.

These Parmesan Fish Sticks are crispy, flavorful, and easy to make, offering a lighter alternative to fried fish sticks without compromising on taste or crunch!
