Pork Chops with Mustard Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon whole-grain mustard
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the Pork Chops: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside.

  5. Return the Pork Chops: Place the pork chops back into the skillet and spoon some of the sauce over them. Let them simmer in the sauce for another 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  6. Serve: Transfer the pork chops to a serving plate, spooning the mustard sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
