Ingredients:

  • 1 prepared pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce (or white sauce)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
  2. Prepare the Shrimp: In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Assemble the Pizza: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet lightly dusted with flour or cornmeal.
  4. Add the Toppings: Brush the dough with the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the sauce. Arrange the cooked shrimp on top of the cheese. Sprinkle with oregano and red pepper flakes, if using.
  5. Bake the Pizza: Slide the pizza onto the preheated stone (or place the baking sheet in the oven) and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute or two. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired, and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

This Shrimp Pizza offers a seafood twist on a classic favorite, perfect for pizza lovers looking to try something new and flavorful!
